During the 1990's Gary Kastrick started the South Omaha Museum with his Project Omaha students at South High School - the only museum of its kind in the nation. It landed in his basement after closing up and now we are bringing it back, piece of history by piece of wonder. The boards you see here are the last remaining wood pieces from the great South Omaha Stockyards, once the largest in the world!
Celebrate the grand Re-Opening of the Museum from 5-8pm on March 15, 2017. Come visit us from March 16- April 15 for the Stockyards exhibit and during May for the Cinco de Mayo show - especially on Cinco de Mayo!
It's a labor of love and I believe you'll fall in love with it.
